My Learning Experience [from: Larry (朱永恺)]

According to my learning experience, to be an outstanding student, we should obey three rules: preview, concentrate and review. And before we do our assignment, we should scan the note what we write in class until we're familiar with these significant knowledge that teacher's mentioned in class.

For math, we should be familiar with every knowledge teacher's mentioned in class in time. We should follow the teacher's thoughts and don't lag behind. Especially in Ms Tao's class, her lecture passes quickly and if you are confused of one of the knowledge point, you will lag behind in the entire class. In Mr. Tim's class, although the main idea of his lecture is the same as the main idea of Ms Tao's lecture, his access is fraternal from Ms. Tao’s access, so it’s worthy of participating in his class.

For English, we ought to preview the passage in TOEFL Reading and also participate in the class and behave actively, as well review after class. Besides, we should memorize some vocabulary that I the high-frequency word. We also communicate with Phil more to practice our ability of English.

For chemistry, we also need to obey the three rules and follow teachers’ thoughts. If we have some questions, ask the teachers in time and make sure understand the entire significant knowledge teacher mentioned. In Ms. Fan’s class, we should only listen carefully due to her coherent way of thinking. In Mr. Tyler’s class, although it’s easy to understand, if you don’t pay attention, you’ll still lag behind, so pay attention to his class and participating in class is very significant for us to improve and enhance.

There are many accesses to approach success in each subject. As the old saying goes, “everything isn’t difficult if you put your heart into it.”

Conclusion of Learning Experience [from: Carrie (叶梦婷)]

There are many methods of learning. I’d like to share some good ones and I hope those can help.

For English, it’s vital to listen to Mr. Wu. In his TOEFL class, he would tell us some good way for TOEFL, for example, to guess the meaning of a new word from the context. To improve oral English, we should communicate more with Phil, and we may learn about more cultural and active things.

Math is always difficult for students, especially something we’ve learned recently is really tough. So following Ms. Tao in class is necessary, and asks her question as soon as possible to help you understand. Tim’s classes are sometimes reviewing for Ms. Tao’s, but he talks more detailed about proof.

Physics suggestions are just for a small group of students in our class. Do our homework as asked, preview and review. All of these are important for physics learning. For Tyler’s physics class, we would have some practice, they are all very helpful, because more practice make better. As well I suggest being more active in his class.

I don’t know much about chemistry as I haven’t taken chemistry class for a long time, but one thing that really helps me is reading the text book. Tyler can teach for both reviewing and new knowledge pretty clear.

These are all simple methods of learning different subjects, and if follow it, I believe study will be easier and grades will go higher.
