My travel to Peking University

On October 9^th, I went to Beijingto attend Peking University National Model United Nations Forum foe Facultiesand Team Leaders 2015. It is a preliminary meeting for the PKMUNC next year(Peking University Model United Nations Conference 2016).

Early this year, our school has past the testwhich decides the opportunity to get the chance of attending this conference. Wegot 4 seats of the conference, and one of the goal of this the forum is to choosethe seats randomly in public.

Our school got Ukraine and Kyrgyzstan and 2conferences, using different languages for each one. It is my honor to bechosen as a delegate of Ukraine in General Assembly. It is my fist conferencewhere English is spoken as the official language. I am a little bit nervous formy representation, but I still have five months to prepare. I will try my best forthe people of Ukraine and, of course, myself.

I learned a lot during those two days, andmet a lot of distinguished students from all over the country. All of them arewell experienced delegates, and have their own opinions on the internationalrelationship and some international events. Listening to them can improve andoptimize my view to the international policy, and that is the reason why Ijoined Model UN 4 years ago.

Theorganizers of the forum arrange for a lot of valuable lectures which were givenby the professor of Peking University. It is very rare to listen to suchlectures of these famous professors at the same time, and it is the best harvestduring this trip in my mind.

So far,the UN has been established 70 years, becoming the most rounded internationalorganization in the world. Someone says the function of the UN is weaker thanbefore, and we do not need it anymore. Unfortunately, the effect of the UN isweaker than the expectation in policy, but the effect of avoiding worldwide waris self-evidence. The UN is always changing the system of itself to beeffective in the international relationship. The reformation has been started severalyears ago, especially in the SC. No one can adapt to the world without changingthe shape of itself, just like the UN. (Candice From 202 of theInternational Department)
